Sluice Gates

The Freedrain sluice gates (channel penstocks) are used to block the flow till the height of the door. They are manufactured from high quality HDPE and they will be reinforced with Stainless Steel 316L profiles. HDPE is lightweight and has a high chemical resistance. Standard, the sluice gates are fitted with a SS316L non-rising spindle.

The sluice gate contains a vertically moving door which can block the water supply on one side (on seating). Tightening shall be effected by means of special EPDM flat/lip shaped rubber profile to withstand the water pressure on one side, without any visible deformation.

Overflow Gate

The Freedrain overflow gates (penstocks) are used for a constant regulation of the upstream side, between a minimum and maximum water level. This a custom made product, manufactured from high quality HDPE and the gate will be reinforced with Stainless Steel 316L profiles. HDPE is lightweight and has a high chemical resistance. Standard, the overflow gates are fitted with a SS316L non-rising spindle.

The overflow gate contains a vertically moving door which can regulate the water level on the upstream side. Tightening shall be effected by means of a special EPDM flat/lip shaped rubber profile.  Standard the overflow gates are suitable for on-seating (mounted on the upstream side) water pressure. Off-seating water pressure is also possible on request.

Double Overflow Penstock

The Freedrain overflow gates (penstocks) are used for a constant regulation between a minimum and a maximum upstream water level. This is a custom made product, manufactured from high quality HDPE and the gate will be reinforced with Stainless Steel 316L profiles. HDPE is lightweight and has a high chemical resistance. Standard, the overflow gates are fitted with 2 SS316L non-rising spindles.

The double overflow gate contains 2 vertically moving doors which can regulate the water level on the upstream side. It is also possible to flush the channel by lifting both doors. Tightening shall be effected by means of a special EPDM flat/lip shaped rubber profile to withstand an on seating water pressure till height of the doors, without any visible deformation.
